Our Story

Joe's Place is now celebrating 50 years in the restaurant business! This is our story.

The "Williams" Family started their business in Allentown, Pennsylvania, in 1968. Two years later, they opened another location at 289 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, Pennsylvania. Today, that location is the home of Claude's Creamery.

They were able to move their restaurant to its current location at 155 Delaware Avenue. Here, they were able to allow dining for up to 48 patrons.

At its current location, this restaurant opened under the name of "J's Atlantic City Giant Submarines". This name was soon changed to simplly "J's Steaks and Subs". When the current owner, Joe Willliams, took over, he renamed the restaurant after himself. Thus, today, Joe's Place still operates and serves residents of the greater Lehigh Valley.

Joe's Place was and still is a family-owned and operated business. Joe's Place promotes a friendly atmosphere and relishes in its own small-town pride. For the past 50 years, this restaurant has provided hundreds of jobs for the locals in this area.

The success of Joe's Place cannot just go to its owners. The success instead lies heavily on the people who have supported this business for the past 50 years-you! Joe's Place is thankful towards its loyal customers and its employees (past and present). Without them, Joe's Place couldn't be what it is today.
